Parent Informational Meeting : College Credit Now VHS Guidance Department will host a College Credit Now information meeting for parents of current 10th and 11th grade students on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 6:00 pm in the Little Theater. College Credit Now provides opportunities for Georgia high school students to take college-level courses and earn concurrent credit toward a high school diploma and a college degree. Area college representatives will be in attendance to answer specific questions about their school’s ACCEL program, Dual enrollment and other college credit now opportunities. SAT Test Prep SAT study materials are available to any student who is planning to take the SAT. Copies of The Official SAT Study Guide by Collegeboard are available for checkout in IMC 2. Also, registration information for The Official SAT Online Course is available in the counseling office. Students may come to counseling office before or after school or during advisement |
The Valdosta High School Guidance/Counseling Department is staffed with six certified professional school counselors and two secretaries available to provide assistance with educational planning, career decision making and personal/social concerns. 9th Grade: 9th Grade Academy counselors serving all 1st year 9th grade students.
10th-12th Grades: 10th -12th grade students are assigned to a counselor by Houses/Teams. A student's House is determined by the House to which his/her homeroom teacher is assigned.
